More About Blackstone

Blackstone was initially established as a manufacturing area along its rivers. Now home to just over 9,000 residents, the town is bordered by North Smithfield and Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the south; Millville, Massachusetts to the west; Mendon, Massachusetts to the north, and Bellingham, Massachusetts (Norfolk County) to the east.

Impressions/Character

The Blackstone River flows through the Southwest portion of town, marking the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. There exists a sense of motion in this town, replete with streams and falls complementing its quintessential New England vibe. Residents take pride in preserving their rich history, while also maintaining a cleaner, economically stronger community. Just over its border, in nearby Bellingham, is the New England Country Club, which provides not only public golfing suitable for any level of play, but also dining and event hosting. The pleasures of the area are limitless, as highlighted by the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, which for more than a quarter century has worked to ensure optimum opportunities and experiences for those living in, and visiting, the Blackstone Valley. Dining, cultural events, exploration, and discovery of America's roots are all within easy reach from Blackstone.
